Change. No one likes change, especially not Lutherans. August is a month of change, especially this year. Many children are heading back to school, and that looks very different than previous years.
Children are starting in new schools or moving up to a different grade or classroom. Learning may be in person or online. The seasons are changing. Soon the temperatures will drop along with the leaves on the trees. Life at Pacific Hills is changing as we are in the midst of our building projects. We can be grateful that as we go through changes in our lives we have a God who never changes. James 1:17 says, “Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.” He is always there for us and blesses us and is a constant in our lives.
Our own Lamb of God Preschool starts the new school year on September 8. This year we start with about 14 children. We will be conducting nature preschool, so learning will take place completely out- side, due to COVID and construction. Thanks be to God for this amazing mission field and these precious little ones and their families! These children will spend this school year playing, learning, growing, and hearing about the love of Jesus every day. We are grateful for the support of Pacific Hills, and we ask you to keep our preschool and its families in your prayers. Due to reduced offering giving and reduced enrollment, both as a result of COVID, our pre- school could really use additional financial support. Please consider helping us out in this way.
